Reign of the Mughal Empire

One of the many places in Pakistan, which are of great historic importance, includes the Lahore Fort (Known as the Shahi Qila). Consisting of 21 monuments and spreading over an area of more than 20 hectares, it is a world heritage site of culture and historic importance. The construction of the fort dates back to the reign of Emperor Akbar in 1566 and was mostly rebuilt in the 17th century. The Shahi Qila consists of marvelous architecture sites such as the Sheesh Mahal, Naulakha Pavilion, Moti Masjid. The Lahore Fort is a must visit site and is a gem to historians and culture enthusiasts.
